At St. Ignatius of Antioch School, we are committed to preparing students for the future by fostering innovation, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through our dynamic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program. Our fully equipped STEM Lab provides students with hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity and encourage them to become creative problem-solvers.
Every student, from Preschool through 8th Grade, participates in weekly STEM instruction as part of our Enrichment Program. Under the guidance of our full-time STEM teacher, students engage in exciting, project-based activities that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with other subject areas, creating meaningful cross-curricular learning experiences.
Our STEM curriculum encourages students to think like engineers and innovators by designing, building, experimenting, testing, and refining solutions to real-world challenges. Through collaborative projects and inquiry-based learning, students strengthen their communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills while developing confidence in their ability to solve complex problems.
The STEM Lab is equipped with a variety of age-appropriate technology and engineering resources that allow students to explore coding, robotics, engineering design, scientific investigation, and other emerging technologies. Whether our youngest learners are discovering simple machines or our middle school students are tackling advanced engineering challenges, every lesson is designed to spark imagination and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.
At St. Ignatius, STEM education goes beyond teaching science and technology—it empowers students to become innovative thinkers, resilient learners, and future leaders who are prepared to succeed in an ever-changing world.
