Kindergarten Program
At St. Ignatius of Antioch School, our full-day Kindergarten program provides students with a strong academic foundation in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Our five-day-a-week program is designed to prepare students for the academic expectations of First Grade while fostering a lifelong love of learning and a strong sense of faith.
Our experienced teachers provide a balanced curriculum that emphasizes early literacy, reading readiness, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and religion through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, solve problems, and explore new ideas in an environment that promotes curiosity and confidence. In addition to academic instruction, children participate in art, music, physical education, library, and technology, providing a well-rounded educational experience.
Faith is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout the school day, students learn about God's love through prayer, Bible stories, classroom discussions, acts of kindness, and participation in the traditions of our Catholic faith. We strive to help every child develop strong moral values, compassion for others, and an understanding of what it means to live as a disciple of Christ.
Our Kindergarten program also places a strong emphasis on developing the social and emotional skills that are essential for lifelong success. Students learn to work cooperatively with classmates, communicate effectively, build friendships, practice responsibility, and develop independence. By creating a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment, we help each child gain the confidence needed to become a successful learner.
Because we are committed to maintaining small class sizes and providing individualized attention to every student, enrollment in our Kindergarten program is limited. Priority registration is offered each February to families currently enrolled in our Preschool program. Open registration for all new families begins on March 1 each year. While we welcome applications from all interested families, we are unable to guarantee placement due to limited classroom availability.
To be eligible for admission, students must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the school year in which they are enrolling.
At St. Ignatius of Antioch School, Kindergarten is more than the beginning of elementary education—it is the start of a lifelong journey of faith, academic excellence, and personal growth. We are honored to partner with families in helping each child reach their God-given potential.
